ADHD Therapy in Bergen County for Children, Adolescents & Teens
Is your child struggling in school, bursting with energy, and/or always getting into trouble?
It may be time to seek therapy for ADHD
You’re at your wits end. Your child has always been full of energy, but now that energy is really impacting their daily life. They don’t pay attention and are easily distracted. Despite your staying on top of their schoolwork, they are getting poor grades. And they are constantly battling everyone around them – parents, siblings, teachers, friends. Reprimands don’t work, and neither do bribes. You’re out of ideas of how to control your child’s behavior and are exhausted from trying.
If this sounds like you, your child may have ADHD. We’re here to help your child reach their potential by managing their symptoms and gaining more control over their actions.

Giving your child the tools they need to succeed
ADHD symptoms vary from child to child. That’s why we spend significant time getting to know your child’s strengths and the challenges they face as a result of their ADHD. We offer a safe environment where we can help them explore how they are feeling and what they find difficult. This exploration isn’t necessarily through deep conversation – after all, kids can’t communicate like adults! For those kids who are shy or have difficulty expressing how they are feeling, we use play therapy (games, music, drawing, etc.) appropriate for their age, which helps us gather a wealth of information on how ADHD is affecting how they act and process. Our goal is to help your child feel heard and understood, as well as provide practical strategies for bringing out the best in them and controlling undesirable behaviors so they can live a successful, happy life.
